British Business Bank commissioned PwC to undertake an in-depth study of CDFIs in the UK and their sustainability. It finds that CDFIs represent a broad and diverse range of financial providers, and this in turn creates a mixed picture on sustainability. It explores the CDFI business model, the funding environment and the limits of available data for robust data amongst other areas. Finally, it makes a number of recommendations on how CDFIs can improve their sustainability.
